The electric motorcycle concept from BMW immediately attracted attention with its unusual, even futuristic design.
The development received an equally unusual name - Motorrad Vision DC Roadster. This motorcycle was developed as part of the company's desire to accelerate the electrification of its vehicles. True, having demonstrated an unusual novelty, BMW has not yet begun to disclose any technical details. It is also not yet clear whether the motorcycle will go into production and, if so, when exactly this will happen. But it should be noted that Motorrad Vision DC Roadster looks quite finished.
BMW began experimenting with electric two-wheelers back in 2016 with the introduction of the C Evolution scooter. Then, over the past few years, this model has been repeatedly refined. Owners of the latest version can cover up to 160 km on a single charge, as well as reach a top speed of 130 km/h. But given that the cost of C Evolution is an impressive $ 14,000, the experiment can not be called massive.
Then, in the same 2016, the concept of the Vision Motorrad Next 100 motorcycle was presented, which looked quite unusual - it was immediately clear that it would not go into the series. In 2017 we were shown a new concept scooter Motorrad Concept Link. That is, BMW is clearly very actively working in this direction. And all the developments created over the years eventually formed the basis of the Motorrad Vision DC Roadster.
As a result, we have a model that looks very fresh and bold. But not enough to scare away potential buyers. Thanks to the use of corporate colors, it immediately becomes clear which manufacturer's model is in front of you. So it's likely that the electric motorcycle from BMW will be on sale soon.
