Clothing prices range from $40 to $175, while shoes range from $170.
One of the most popular collaborations of 2022, Jacquemus x Nike, is finally here. The collection was instantly sold out on the website of the French brand. The next arrivals are expected in the near future at Nike and SNKRS online stores, as well as at some brick stores.
The collaboration between Jacquemus and Nike was announced back in 2020, and this spring the long-awaited presentation of the collection took place on the “Le Papier”.
“For this collaboration with Nike, I wanted to create a collection that reinterprets athletic women’s sportswear in a minimal way. I have always been inspired by vintage ACG pieces and Nike campaigns from the ’90s.” commented Simon Porte Jacquemus, founder and chief designer of the brand.
According to him, the collaboration created women's sportswear with sensual details and neutral colors. “It was important for the collection to be accessible, for all bodies, and to be a natural blend of Jacquemus style and Nike performance.” added the designer.
The collection includes clothes such as polo sweaters with the signature Swoosh logo on the back and bras with lace details. Tennis-style dresses and skirts take center stage. The collection is complemented by a unisex sweatshirt and a panama with the same Nike touch.
“With Jacquemus, we drew from vintage ACG inspiration, the interweaving of Nike DRI-Fit fabric, and considered footwear like the Humara, to create a nexus of sport and style that could only be done through the shared lens of Nike x Jacquemus.” said Nike VP of Fashion Design. Catalyse Jarrett Reynolds.
The new Jacquemus x Nike collection will be available on the Nike and SNKRS websites and in retail stores beginning July 7. Prices for apparel range from $40 to $175, and shoes start at $170.
