The unique KFCourt will be open from January 26 to February 22.
The Canadian division of KFC has announced the opening of an outdoor basketball court in Toronto. The project is part of an advertising campaign called "KFC Buckets Are Life" - "KFC Buckets Are Life".
KFCourt is a basketball court with hoops styled after the brand's famous basketballs. As part of the project, the fast-food giant will provide pre-heated balls for the game and invite DJs from LiveNation to perform. In addition, Pepsi's "warm-up center" will be open at the venue.
The one-of-a-kind venue will be open from January 26 to February 22, 2023. KFCourt is located at The Bentway, a public space outside the city. The company will also invite Toronto Raptors player Gary Trent Jr. to perform to attract guests to the action.
KFC also plans to support the local professional community with a special product, the Number 11 Puffer Jersey, referencing the unique set of spices used on the menu.
The court will be rented to those who want to play for $5 an hour. And the proceeds from the campaign will go to Jump Thru Hoops, a basketball organization specializing in finding young talent.
