Chinese electronics manufacturer Xiaomi has kept its promise to make the POCO trademark independent.
The fact that POCO has now become an independent company became known from a message on the brand's official Twitter channel - @POCOGlobal. It should be noted here that the movement in this direction began quite a long time ago. Xiaomi promised to make POCO an independent brand back in January 2020.
The message also talks about the successes and achievements of POCO. In particular, it is reported that the brand has managed to penetrate the markets of 35 countries around the world, of which the most important are the UK, Spain, Italy and India. At the same time, 6 million smartphones were sold, of which 2.2 million are for the Poco F1 model.
The implementation of 6 million devices is not a particularly outstanding achievement. But here you need to take into account the very harsh realities of the modern budget smartphone market, which presents hundreds of a wide variety of models. It is possible that POCO will be able to strengthen its position thanks to the recently presented Poco M3 model. The main distinguishing features of the novelty is a non-standard design and a battery with a capacity of 6000 mAh. The Poco M3 starts at $149 for the lower version with 64GB storage.

In the meantime, the young company promised that it will continue to develop, relying on three pillars - important technologies, design based on the wishes of users, and continuous development.
It is still unknown when the first smartphones of the completely independent company POCO will be presented. Most likely this will happen in the first half of 2021.
