Mercedes-Benz plans to go all-electric by 2030.
Mercedes-Benz is close to create its first all-electric G-Class SUV. The iconic zero-emissions car, dubbed the EQG, will debut in 2024.
Information about the development of an electric version of the SUV first appeared in 2019. This week, the company announced that the work is in an active stage, and in two years the serial production of the EQG will begin.
The concept of an electric car was presented in 2021. Then it was reported that the SUV will go into production in 2025. The first tests of the new model at the test site in Austrian Graz were considered successful.
The characteristics of the new electric SUV have not yet been disclosed. But it is assumed that the main details will be made public in the near future. Mercedes-Benz also plans to go all-electric by 2030.
