Japanese Toyota has become the most valuable car manufacturer in the world according to the financial and economic magazine Forbes.
In the ranking of the most valuable brands, Toyota was the only car brand in the top 10. Analysts have estimated Toyota's value at $44.6 billion, with annual revenues of $190.8 billion. The Japanese brand has been holding the lead since 2014, while remaining the most expensive according to Best Global Brands of the consulting agency Interbrand.
The second place among the most valuable automobile brands was taken by Mercedes-Benz - with an estimate of $33.2 billion, it is located on the 17th line. The top three is closed by BMW, valued at $29.8 billion and ranked 21st in the overall ranking.
The updated list of the 100 most valuable brands in the world includes 11 representatives of automotive companies - this is the third place after representatives of the technology sector and financial services.
Honda is in 28th place in the ranking of the most expensive brands in the world, Audi is in 41st place, Ford is in 48th place. In the second half of the ranking are Porsche, Chevrolet, Lexus, Nissan and Hyundai. Thus, among the most expensive automakers, 4 positions are occupied by Japanese brands, 4 by German, 2 by American and 1 by South Korean.
