According to the The Newspaper Works According to research, news on the Internet only complements conventional print newspapers. This dispelled the myth that the number of news readers on the Internet is growing at the expense of those who used to prefer paper newspapers.
The main reason is that newspapers enjoy a reputation as an exceptionally reliable source of information, which the Internet cannot boast of, the news in which often contains elementary grammatical errors. Moreover, with the development of digital media, the reputation of print publications has even grown.
About 80 percent of readers said they were not going to give up reading traditional newspapers. And the point here is not only in reputation, but also in the fact that reading a newspaper contributes to a relaxed and more thoughtful reading of news and notes, while the Internet is good only for a quick review of various information.
A study conducted by Newspaper Works was not intended to compile statistics. But it showed that the best way to get acquainted with the news is a combination of two ways - traditional and digital.
