The leader of the Black Eyed Peas created a protective mask that has built-in LED lights, noise-canceling headphones and HEPA filters.
Even if we are forced to wear masks to protect ourselves from viruses, there is always a way to look stylish. Honeywell, which specializes in the development of personal protective equipment and air purification, showed a new joint development with the famous rapper Will.i.am.
The Xupermask, pronounced "Supermask", has LED lights and Bluetooth noise-canceling headphones that attach to the mask with magnets. The mask also has dual 3-speed fans for ventilation and replaceable HEPA filters that can be changed every 30 days.
While Will.i.am is best known as the entrepreneur and leader of the Black Eyed Peas, the Xupermask looks more like what electronic music pioneers Daft Punk would wear. Perhaps the credit goes to Xupermask's creative director, Jose Fernandez, who has previously designed costumes for Hollywood's iconic superheroes. For example, such as Batman and Spider-Man, spacesuits for the crew of the Falcon 9 rocket, and, funny, costumes for Daft Punk.

Silicone seals, an elastic strap and two sizes mean the Xupermask is a fit for just about anyone. On a single battery charge, the mask can work up to 7 hours, it can also be charged while wearing from an external battery.
According to experts, even after being vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus, we will still have to wear a mask in public places. Perhaps that is why there is no shortage of high-tech masks now. Gaming company Razer announced Project Hazel, a transparent mask with LED illumination and audio processing algorithms to make your speech clear. LG has released a battery-powered mask with a built-in air purifier. There are even blanc mask, which is also made in a style close to the videos of the Daft Punk team.
But it is possible that the Xupermask will be available before any of these stylish accessories, at least in the US. It goes on sale April 8 at xupermask.com for $299 with shipping in the US, Canada, UK and Europe.
