One of the largest computer manufacturers, companies Hewlett Packard presented a report on the results of the first financial quarter of 2012. Profit amounted to 1.5 billion euros, which is significantly less than in the same period last year.
To be precise, the decline in profits was 44 percent. The reason for this lies in the decline in sales, both personal computers and printers, and servers. Growth was noted only in sales of services.
Naturally, such reports could not but affect the value of the company's shares. The share price decreased by approximately 6 percent and, at the time of writing, was $27.25.
According to the president of the computer division Hewlett Packard Mega Whitman, all measures are already being taken to reduce costs, in order to increase efficiency and profitability.
