A very famous airline that never really existed. And yet, the title Oceanic Airlines can be found in famous films, series and TV shows. Especially when it comes to a plane crash. it was invented for this - in this case, do not use the name of a really existing company. However, as a result, the fictitious brand became more famous than many really existing ones.
For the first time an airplane Oceanic Airlines (the main fleet of the company is made up of models of the company Boeing) "lit up" in 1996, in the film "Executive Decision", with the participation of Steven Seagal - it was Flight 343. We know this film as "Ordered to Destroy".
But the company gained real fame after the crash of Flight 815, in the cult TV series Lost.
It was this series that gave rise to the idea that the island is depicted on the company's logo. However, the logo took shape much earlier. In addition to the island, they see a stylized letter in it "O", as well as the eye.
Important: should not be confused Oceanic Airlines with companies like Ocean Airlines и Trans-Oceanic Airwaysthat actually exist.
Despite the fact that the company is "virtual", for some time it even had its own website - it was created and supported by the TV company ABC. And although it was impossible to call it particularly difficult, the idea itself deserved respect. True, all flights on the site were always canceled.
