One of the largest mobile retailers in Russia. In a chain of stores Euroset the consumer is offered various models of mobile phones, as well as a fairly wide range of various portable electronics and accessories. Only in Russia there are several thousand outlets. A wide network is also deployed on the territory of Ukraine. Headquarters Euroset is (and has always been) in Moscow.
The company was founded on April 2, 1997 by Evgeny Chichvarkin and Timur Artemiev. At that time, the mobile phone was still a luxury, not a means of communication. Euroset became the first mobile retailer in Russia.
Euroset became famous thanks to its bright advertising campaigns on the verge of a foul. For example, the widely spread semi-official advertising slogan "Euroset - the prices are just oh ... yes". The company held promotions such as the one where customers who came to the store naked received a mobile phone for free. Letters went down in history too far beyond the office framework, through which Chichvarkin communicated with the staff (until 2008, when he left the post of chairman of directors).
On September 22, 2008, the sale took place Euroset investment company ANN, which is owned by businessman Alexander Mamut. Later, 49.9% shares were bought back by the company VimpelCom, the owner of a well-known brand beeline.
Over the years of existence Euroset some other networks of mobile communication salons were redeemed. For example, in 2006, the network was purchased Ultra (brand has been retained).
Form style Euroset was created literally "on the knee" at its foundation. Subsequently, the use of state symbols created some difficulties both in Russia itself and in the near abroad. For example, the presence of the Russian flag caused dissatisfaction on the territory of Ukraine - as a result, the flag there was either simply made in one color, or the characteristic blue and yellow stripes (the colors of the flag of Ukraine) were also added to the bottom, resulting in a kind of rainbow. Dissatisfied with the fact that state symbols are present on the company's logo, there were also in Russia - it even came to litigation. In any case, by the end of 2010, it was already quite clear that serious changes were required. As a result, on March 10, 2011, a global change in the style of the company was announced. The yellow color was retained, but the logo was changed to become simpler. The company has a mascot - a bright yellow toy terrier. It was announced that by the end of 2011 the appearance of the largest stores in Russia would be changed. Plans for the complete completion of restyling capture the whole of 2012.
New corporate identity for Euroset created a consulting agency Wolff Olins, which has already become famous in this field, working with brands such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, GE, Sony Ericsson, Orange, beeline, MTC.
November 2011 Euroset announced its intention to leave the Ukrainian market. The remaining salons were taken over by the local network ringoo.
