Music for the first time became the unifying theme of the new edition of the cult publication.
Pirelli has released a new calendar for 2022. The 48th edition, in partnership with photographer Bryan Adams, includes artists such as Cher, Iggy Pop, Jennifer Hudson and Rita Ora. Adams has shot Sir Mick Jagger, Naomi Campbell and even Queen Elizabeth II in the past. By the way, Adams himself became the first photographer who got on the calendar as a model.
In addition, singers Normani, Kali Uchis, Grimes, St. Vincent, rappers Bohan Phoenix and Saweetie took part in the filming for the new Pirelli calendar "On the Road".

Invited celebrities were photographed in Los Angeles at the 110-year-old Palace Theater in the city center and Hollywood's Chateau Marmont Hotel on Sunset Boulevard. In addition, the shooting took place in Capri at the famous hotel La Scalinatella.
Although stars from the world of music have already appeared in previous Pirelli calendars - among them Bono, Jennifer Lopez, Sean Combs, Yoko Ono and Patti Smith - for the first time music has become a unifying theme of the new release.

To create the calendar, Adams hired Dirk Rudolf, a German designer with whom he has been collaborating since 1996, as creative director for the shoot.
“For me personally, it’s been a real pleasure to work with other musicians and get a glimpse into their world and see how they create it – because it has changed so much and image has become such an incredibly important part of what’s happening with music right now,” commented Adams.

The Pirelli Calendar 2022 marks the return of the iconic edition that was suspended last year.
