On manufacturing defects from 1.6 million TVs Bravia, the company said Sony. When assembling them, low-quality components were used, which can cause spontaneous combustion of the device.
TVs released in 2007-2008 are being recalled. Most of them were sold in Europe and North America, a small percentage also sold in Japan itself.
There was even information on the Internet that Sony plans to recall all of these devices. However, representatives of the company denied this information. According to them, owners of TV models of those years can contact service centers to make free diagnostics. If a defect is found, the defective parts will be replaced.
At the moment, about two dozen cases of manifestation of a defect have been recorded in the world, which did not lead to any consequences.
