A collaboration between adidas and 032C, a Berlin-based fashion magazine and clothing brand, explores the zeitgeist.
All items from the presented collection of accessories and shoes are designed to be as multifunctional as possible. New sneakers introduced adidas by 032c Salvation, a modernized version of the 90s model, created using new technologies in a post-digital aesthetic.
The collection also includes a backpack in waterproof nylon fabric, a duffel bag and a fanny pack, all in black, equipped with metal details, multiple closures and strong straps, which emphasizes the versatility of such things and the possibility of using them in any situation. Multifunctionality, as well as the use of futuristic motifs in design, are the main themes of the collaboration. The cost of items from the new collection ranges from $100 to $188.
This is not the first collaboration between two brands from Germany. In early 2019, the adidas 032c GSG9 utilitarian style high boots were introduced in a similarly futuristic style.
The collection, according to its creators, was conceived in the style of futuristic realism. Trying to capture the current moment in time, when the world is constantly changing, being influenced by digital culture, the collection represents the image of a modern person looking into an uncertain future.
Emphasizing that the collaboration is based on the ideas of futurism and functionality, the Innersect 2019 exhibition in Shanghai was chosen as the venue for the first show of the collection. Here, the brands presented an installation using augmented reality technology.
