Analytical company IDC presented a long-term forecast regarding the distribution and development of operating systems for mobile devices. According to it, by 2015 the share Windows phone will exceed the share iOS and will yield only Android.
Operating system from Google will still remain the absolute leader, which will own most of the market - at least 40%. Shares blackberry и iOS practically will not change and will amount to 13 and 17 percent, respectively.
As for Symbian, then in the next couple of years, only memories will remain from this system. It is this share that will take WP.
The reaction to this news on the Web was different. Most users are rather negative, believing that the forecast IDC fully paid Microsoft. Doubtful, of course. But the possibility of such a development of events should not be ruled out. No wonder Microsoft invests such money in the development of the system and actually acquired Nokia, making, in fact, the Finnish company a testing ground for testing their developments. However, they still have a lot of work to do, and time will tell whether they will be able to thoroughly gain a foothold in the mobile OS market or not.
