Candy Group is an international group of companies whose main brand is the brand of the same name Candy. Under our leading brand Candy and several other equally well-known companies have been successfully manufacturing and selling various household appliances for many years.
It all started in 1945. The Second World War had already died down and Italy began to revive. The return to civilian life entailed the need for the production of large and small household appliances. It was then that the Fumagalli brothers - Enzo, Niso and Peppino (Enso, Niso, Peppino Fumagalli), presented to the public the washing machine they developed (the first in Italy, by the way). This model, named without undue pomposity Model 50, made a very good impression on the public during the Milan Household Appliance Fair (Milan Fair) in 1946. A good start has been made.
The brothers were not random people who just took and created an electromechanical unit. They were worthy of their father, Eden Fumagalli, who was the owner of the production he founded. OMEF (Officine meccaniche Eden Fumagalli – Mechanical workshops of Eden Fumagalli). Initially OMEF was engaged in machine tools and various devices, but the post-war devastation forced a change in production. The development of the brothers not only saved the company, but also transferred it to a fundamentally new track. This is how the brand was born. Candy, which became the basis for the company Candy Elettrodomestici srlwhich, in turn, will become the basis for modern Candy Group. All the technical innovations on which the first technique was created are the merit of Nozo Fumagalli, who will later be awarded the Prize of the University of Geneva. Organizational activities fell on the shoulders of Peppino. Already in 1954, an innovative development appeared - "Bi-Matic", the first semi-automatic washing machine with a wringer. Six years later, a fully automatic model was also developed.

Throughout its history, the company has been developing at a rapid pace. The first factories abroad begin to appear, the model range expands, and the production of other types of household appliances begins - dishwashers, refrigerators, gas and electric stoves.
The 1970s marked the beginning of an aggressive takeover policy. Italian companies were the first La Sovrana и Kelvinator Italia. Later, in the 80s, the absorption of foreign manufacturers also began. As a result, it is formed Candy Group, which owns many popular brands: Kelvinator, Zerowatt, Rosieres, Gasfire, Iberna, Otsein, Vyatka (Vyatka), JINLING, SUSLER, Hoover (the second most important brand, after, in fact, the most Candy - up to 40% sales), Helkama-Hoover, Podborany.
Head Office Candy Group located in Brugherio, Italy. Its factories are scattered all over the world. The number of employees of the company is already in the thousands. The range of manufactured appliances includes hundreds of different models of all kinds of household appliances.
