Veselaya Burenka is a popular variety of processed cheese. In Russia, it is produced in a round box in individually packed pieces, boxes with this cheese cannot be confused with any others - they depict a red cow's head with earrings from cheese packages in their ears. The cow on the packaging laughs (as crazy as it sounds) forever imprinted in the mind of the buyer in the image of nightmares.
Merry Burenka is an analogue of the French cheese La Vache Qui Rit (“Laughing Cow”), produced by the Bel Group. The cheese recipe was invented at the beginning of the century by the owner of the company, Leon Bel. The La Vache Qui Rit brand was brought to the Russian market almost unchanged, the only exception was made for the hard-to-pronounce French name.
