Here we need to make a lyrical digression: the fact is that we are interested in many things in life. You get up in the morning and think, why did the ancient Romans not have a single outstanding mathematician; you go to work and think, how is it that the cyclist does not fall in front, he only relies on two points; you sit at a computer and comprehend the processes of data transmission over a distance; you come back home and wonder if this neighbor is meeting me or just sitting here all the time. A separate area of interest concerns all kinds of names, slogans, logos, trademarks. And how could it be otherwise, because so much work, time, talent and money have been invested in their creation and even more in a solid implementation in our brains. Brands are everywhere, it’s impossible to escape from them, and they have such a semantic load, so many links to all aspects of life, that as soon as you start to be interested in some story, the tangle will immediately begin to unwind and you will become the owner of a whole bunch of facts, life stories, anecdotes , terrifying discoveries and just another puzzle in the mosaic of the picture that surrounds us.
The desire to read some stories “from the life of brands” led first to the Internet, and then to Amazon. The Internet promised to take a lot of time and give in return a mountain of copy-paste in addition to the necessary information. And Amazon offered a lot of interesting things, but for a penny and for each interesting name, such a number of books popped up that, of course, you can master, but you have to stop eating, drinking and sleeping, and also push all other interests into the background. But you still need to find out why the sky is blue, what is electric current and how it will be in Spanish - "I have a black shirt."
Now, if there was such a site where a kind uncle would collect more “brand” stories, and even tell them in his own words, search and bring us more interesting facts in his teeth, surprise us with something, we would read such a site. Yes, there are sites with a similar idea, but if done well, then this topic is the history of creating brands and their development - in the background, in the first place - marketing, advertising, PR. And you understand that for some serious organization such a collection is interesting, but secondary. And if the site is dedicated specifically to brands, if they tried to create a catalog or an encyclopedia of brands, then the terrible word we hate is copy-paste, or, even worse, rewriting peeps behind every line. For the lucky ones who don’t know what these terrible curses mean, I won’t explain, I’ll just say it differently: the texts are either “borrowed”, for the sake of justice, we note, most often with an indication of the source, or we are offered a translation into Russian of the text from the official page of the brand . This is wonderful, but it leaves a slight feeling that they are trying to fool you and slip yesterday's sandwich.
Well, we decided, if you really want to read something, but there is nothing, just write it. And so we write. We could collect stamps or porcelain angels, but we collect brand creation stories. And in order not to forget, we write it down and put it on the site - on this very site brand report. Well, for greater interest, we also add news and articles. Why not?
